Two exceptional pieces of manganese-decorated redware, made by John Bell in Waynesboro Pennsylvania, circa 1860's. The jar is stamped on the lid and base; the egg cup is not marked, but it is obvious that it was made by John Bell. It is an unrecorded form. Jar is 7" tall. It has a small chip on the underside edge of the lid and some wear to the inner ring; the egg cup is mint.
