Folksy carved and painted rooster and hen. Crusty white bodies with vivid red combs and wattle, green and white stippled base. The eyes are black glass orbs. There is old glue on the feet of both, as they are solid wood and top-heavy, so it was easy for them to break away from the base! Signed in pencil on the underside of base is, "Made by Ole C. Hendrickson New Richland Minn". I date these carvings to the 1930's; information on the carver has his death date in 1942. I was able to find a bit of info on him. Measurements: 6 1/2" high and long; width of both is 6 inches.
